Rapper Ice Cube has vowed to shake-up the hip-hop industry after expressing outrage at its commercialism.The star, real name O’Shea Jackson, fears the current US rap scene has forgotten its roots and lost direction.

He is so appalled that sex and ‘bling’ are favoured over social commentary in hip-hop tracks he’s heading a campaign to stamp out the corporate rot.
