They were on some next shizz.  Peep the timb cameo in the pic above.  I never bought those cus they never went wit my gear….but I always did think they were the ish. Also peep the camo, avirex’s etc. These dudes used to be up in the tunnel crazy deep. So were we. Around that time me and my man Roly peeped P at a train station in Queens with some chick….But it was like damn he’s in the hood..plus he had shine on…We gave him props for that…So this is the Mobb Deep we remember..

  • Introducing BronxRap.com’s Newest Teamate…To’mi

We did it just for you people….The ill new point guard on the BronxRap.com team and will be featured in the Reality Vs. Brutality category….Ladies & Gentlemen please meet To’mi…

I am a black female with nothing to prove but with everything to give! I come from a world of hardship that I am very grateful for, cause it turned me into who I am. (which is a fighter, not a survivor) I want to bring to the world of Bronx Rap my love and dedication for the R&B world as well as for the writing world. Words are my music and my music comes from my words; as you get to know me you will begin to understand that! I am an honest individual who uses my words to express myself. I don’t like being misunderstood, and growing up in the hood there is a lot of that. What I am going to bring to Bronxrap is a new way to understand the incomprehensible. (More …)

Truly a hip-hop classic….This reminds me of jumpin on the QBX1 or the 6 train on my way to Lehman H.S on Tremont Ave & Westchester Square. Timberlands and Champion Hoodies (The Cone Heads). Wow..when I think of that time it’s like a lucid dream. It was crazy cus all we had to do was go to school and maybe have a part time job…No bills…No baby momma drama….Back when spending your last on a fly Tommy shirt or some Guess jeans was normal. When you watch this video let your mind bring itself back to that time….L

  • NOVEMBER = HIP HOP HISTORY MONTH

    L Boogie 12:01 pm on October 24, 2006 Permalink | Reply

HIP HOP HISTORY MONTH (As told to Fresh)

The Universal Zulu Nation calls on the World to recognize the whole month of November as

HIP HOP HISTORY MONTH! The official birthday of the Universal Zulu Nation is November 12, 1973.The official birthday of Hip Hop is November 12th, 1974.

With consideration to the above mentioned dates, nothing makes more sense than to celebrate Hip Hop culture and it’s history during November, which is exactly what the Universal Zulu Nation has been doing for over 27 + years. November is also significant in the fact that it kicks off the “indoor jam season”. The Hip Hop community jams, enjoyed outdoors in the parks, throughout the Summer, had to move indoors for about 7 months to community centers, gymnasiums, schools etc. for the Fall and Winter seasons. The Hip Hop World should recognize this month and pay tribute to those who laid the foundation and paved the way as well as to those who continue to preserve the rich tradition of the culture. Please Use As Directed: This jewel is to be used as many times a day for as long as you want. You can never overdose. Using this jewel may cause a euphoric reaction but keep in mind…this is what you want. Keep within reach of children so they may become a carrier of hip-hop in their soul as well.

Yea I know I’m showin my age on this one…. But when I was a shorty Musical Youth was crazy. I mean 98.7 threw it up every 5 seconds…..For you youngins 98.7 was the shit way before 97.1…If my memory serves me correctly hot 97 used to play house music or something…

yo, nice site and nicely done!
and your work seems thorough. for all who have had the blessing and curse of watching hip hop grow up [not quite from birth but from infancy] musical youth was that sound and pass tha dutchie was the hit! – i was little but my older brother had the record. word. if records could break like cassette tapes used to from over-play…

and 98.7 was it! i bet u grew up listening to DJ Red Alert every night. there was nothing else, well BLS 107.5 of course, but not for hip hop. this was all before hot 103 [a club music, dance music and freestyle music station] became hot 97. as you know they continued to play dance music until it became the place where hip hop and r&b lives. then 103 [which had changed to a country music station] began to play dance music again. hot 97 then became the authority on all sounds hip hop in hip hop’s capital city! i think everyone’s caught up on what’s happened since then…

thanks and keep up the good work!
